An opportunity exists for a results-driven and highly motivated Pre Sales Specialist to complement our already successful Design & Implementation team. Your role will be to drive and deliver incremental sales and revenue growth across Gateway’s Data and Strategic solution set (Telstra NextIP, Riverbed & Managed Services, IP Telephony, Collaboration, Cloud). You’ll achieve this by working collaboratively with specific account teams including Business Development Managers, Sales Managers, Pre Sales Consultants & our team of highly trained engineers. This a key role within our business and requires stakeholder management capabilities, leadership skills in motivating and educating Business Development Managers in new and emerging technologies and to be a trusted advisor to our customer base.

The Responsibilities
  • Client facing Pre-Sales position (very hands on)
  • Present and deliver high-impact demonstrations
  • Perform needs gathering and requirement analysis for new customers
  • Work closely with Account Managers
Experience/Qualifications
  • Strong Technical Network Background (IP & Routing); particularly VPN, WAN
  • Strong Technical Riverbed Experience (Granite & Steelhead) is preferred
  • Pre-Sales experience in the following would be advantageous (MPLS, Cisco
    Routing & Switching, Cloud, VMWare, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, IT
    Managed Services)
  • Execution and Delivery Skills; 2-5 years client facing presales role
  • Problem Solving Ability; needs gathering and execution in uncertain
    environments
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP 4, VCP 5) preferred
  • RCSA preferred
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of cloud computing (SAAS,IAAS,DAAS)
