Dropbox increases storage quotas

Cloud storage, synchronisation and collaboration provider Dropbox has added a terabyte to the amount of space available to Professional and Business Standard accountholders.

Dropbox Professional now includes 2TB of storage, and Business Standard teams get 3TB to share.

Prices remain unchanged at $279 per year and $210 per user per year (minimum of 3 users) respectively.

New customers get the increased space immediately, while the change will be rolled out to existing subscribers over the coming weeks.

{loadposition stephen08}Dropbox officials implied the change was a response to the increasing use of large files such as UHD video and interactive presentations.

While the services are not directly comparable, Apple charges $179.88 for 2TB of storage (iCloud), Google charges $120 per year for unlimited storage (G Suite Business), and Microsoft charges $84.48 per year for 1TB of storage (OneDrive for Business Plan 1).
